The year 2020 was my first trip to the most coveted awards event in the music industry. I feel honored that I had an opportunity to lend my ears, perspective, and insight to this performance.
We started rehearsals a couple of weeks prior to the show. It was a great collaborative effort to pull the audio portion together. Watching all of the pieces fall into place throughout the rehearsals and lending a hand where needed, was a real treat. From the creative team and their set design, to the song arrangement and musical direction, and all of the guest artists, this ended up being a great performance I am happy to have been involved with.
Spending a few days at the Staples Center prior to and on the day of, exposed me to a lot of musics legendary mixers from Chris Lorde Alge, Paul Hager, and for our performance mixed by John Harris.
Lil Nas X had an amazing performance especially for his debut appearance at the show with guests including: Billy Ray Cyrus, BTS, Diplo, Mason Ramsey, and Nas.
